This is a timed (or un-timed) math fact practice app, where students can advance through addition, subtraction, multiplication and division facts.

Knight’s Quest is a series of timed (or un-timed) addition-subtraction and/or multiplication/division facts that allow students to progress at their own pace and the teacher/parent to view how the student is doing, and see where they are struggling with a full back-end data set for every level. It is designed to replace an old paper system that we had been using successfully for years, but was a major time-investment on the part of the teacher to print, grade and track all the students progress. Now, it can be done automatically. Students also have the ability to re-take any level to show improvement and gain extra stars. Also the problems are randomly generated, so students will not just see the same problems, in the same order every time they take the quiz.

Knight’s Language follows our common theme of all the educational apps and is built to help students learn Latin and Spanish (with two future languages coming). It provides short lessons on various topics followed by a quiz. Teachers/Parents can follow the student’s progress with full back-end data for every level. It also contains an AI ‘teacher’ chat to allow students to ask questions or clarify the lesson. This chat does NOT allow students to talk to each other or if they get off-topic with their questions, gently re-focuses their efforts back to the language they are studying. This means students can use the chat anytime they are in the app to learn the language, by asking questions as they work, but not to waste time. Each language also provides sample questions for any correlated National Exam that they may choose to take later. It covers grades 5-8.

Knight’s Numbers is our flag-ship math app for grades 2-8. It is a fantasy open world setup with side quests and boss battles, but make no mistake, this is no ordinary video game. Everything is based on actual Archdiocese of Cincinnati grade-level standards. It also contains a very powerful back-end data collection to show where students are proficient and where they might need help. Tutorials are also included for reminders or self-help for students/parents who need further explanations. Whole schools or families who are looking for a supplemental curriculum can utilize this app to create their own student universe and track all progress. Each level in the game is tied to a particular standard and the teacher/parent can see how the student is performing in every standard.

Knight’s Chronicles is our ELA curriculum component with over 380 stories included following a similar-theme to the Knight’s Numbers math app. It is aligned with AOC Cincinnati ELA standards for grades K-8. It provides a vocab review/quiz with each story and allows the teacher/parent to differentiate learning at the student level, including read-aloud if that student requires it. Like many of our other apps, it has Catholic identity built-in and also has writing prompts which are given a suggested grade, with teacher override optional. All of our apps are built to the same-theme so students will feel like they are continuing on their journey, just in a different subject matter.
